  16. Sounds a lot like non-flat polygons to me which can happen with
  17. quadrangles.  I ran into the same problem using VistaPro landscapes
  18. in LightWave until I tripled all the polygons into triangles.  A non
  19. flat quadrangle will often render with one triangler half rendering
  20. and the other not.
